• The site with the issue is running on a multisite on:

    • WP Version 6.4.1
    • SQL 501
    • PHPv 7.4.33
    • Theme TwentyTwentyThree v1.3
    • WooCommerce updated to v8.3.1

Everything was working fine with previous WooCommerce version 7.9 using the payment gateways LNbits and PayPal.

Now, either both plugins/gateways are activated, are not showing up as option in the checkout page anymore!

Apart the WooCommerce Payments default gateway, many other payments methods are set up and active, but none of them are showing up on the checkout.  https://snipboard.io/Tliorz.jpg

We tried to switch from the child-theme to the main original twentytwentythree one obtaining no change. The child theme has no customizations, if not per some CSS colors and fonts.

We also perform all possible debugs and tried to switch theme (twentytwenty and storefront) and the gateways show up in both cases… ?? https://snipboard.io/vUzVpZ.jpg

At this stage, is more probable a 2023 theme issue, not a wooCommerce one as we assumed at the beginning.

    Anyone can help?

    Thanks in advance

  • Hey @superatic! This looks like an issue with WooCommerce’s block based checkout, and not a theme issue. Have you already looked through the page below on their site, along with the section for reverting to the classic experience?

Thank you @properlypurple, @xue28 and @shameemreza at Woocommerce support team suggested it is a theme issue, that’s why we shared it here.

We were not aware of the cart/checkout reverting-to-classic experience. We’ll try it, but ideally we’ll like to keep the current one as it’s much smoother and user-friendly.

Do you know if it’s possible to revert back to the latest block-experience in case the classic one does not satisfy our requirements?

@superatic Do not use short links in these forums, that has been abused in the past and is expanded when found. I have expanded yours.

The link field cannot be seen by search engines.

Hey @superatic! Just wanted to check if you’re still facing this issue, and if you still need help with this?

Yes, issue still open on our side, as it seems to be a major compatibility issue. Switching to classic-checkout is for now a temporary patch only: it looks working better, but in the html it’s clear that the page doesn’t actually fully load.

Initially, when discovering all this issue, we deactivated the old stripe checkout and temporarily worked for a few days. Not sure what else happened after. If you have any further update on this will be much appreciated.

Thanks @superatic! I did some digging on a test site, and found that some of the payment gateways you have set up, are incompatible with the block-based checkout(as seen in the screenshot below). Just to confirm, are these the ones that didn’t work with the block-based checkout page earlier?
