Alternative link to the post/comment

    Hello. Instead of putting {post} inside the shortcode format, is there any other way for the comment to have its own link? Or to put a link on a custom text such as ‘Reply’ ?

    The post titles of my website are on the long side, and repeating the same long title of the post in each comment is user unfriendly. Alternatively, is there a way to concatenate the post title?

  • Hi,

    You can link to the comment from either the date or the comment text itself. It will look for the following tags in the “format” option in this order: {post}, {date}, {comment}. So if you did format="{author}:{comment} at {date}", then the link would be on the date. If you left out {date} then it would be on the whole {comment}.
