Alternative to YouTube Live Chat

    I am looking for an alternative to YouTube Live Chat, which requires an account for people to add their comments.

    I stream our live concerts to YouTube and embed them on our website, along with the YouTube Live Chat. I am looking for a plugin that works like YouTube Live Chat, in which viewers and moderators can add their comments, and all the comments can be seen by everyone in a vertical scroll beside the video window, but doesn’t require an account, or registration.

    Can Wise Chat do that?

    Wise Chat does not require registration. You may enable it, but it is not mandatory. All visitors are anonymous. Please try our demos

    Marcin: thanks for replying. It’s great that WC doesn’t require registration. Will the free version allow me to place the chat to the right of the YT imbedded video window on my site, where YT Live Chat would usually appear?

    Yes, it will. All you need to do is to add [wise-chat channel=”my channel name”] shortcode to your page and position the shortcode to the right side of the page.

    Marcin: I’m finally ready to try WC. I have a concert coming up on 11/19, and there will be a live stream, embedded from YT, on my site. I’d like to use WC, instead of YT’s live chat, because YT requires registration.

    You said above that I need to add shortcode to the page. Is “my channel name” the url for the page that WC will appear on?
