• This is the only latest version that works – 1.4.24. All other after this give me white screen. I even tried deactivating all other plugins, but still the same.

I’ve found a fix, written by one member, quoting – “I fixed this by going to the plugin folder admin/class-admin.php and removed the “s” from update_options() on line 441″

The problem for me is that when I open that class-admin.php, there is no such line as “update_options() on line 441”.

So now, I installed the latest version (1.7.1) of this plugin and had to rename its folder so I could access my site again, because after the update, I got that white screen again…both for my admin panel and entire website…

Any ideas how to fix this?

  • Hey guys, did the latest update fix your problem? My problem still persists.
I’m using version 1.7.3.3 for Yoast and WordPress version 4.1.1.

That method didn’t work for me unfortunately. I renamed the main folder and I still have the problem. Anyone else try this method with success?

    Hello all,

The most recent update to the plugin didn’t work for me either. I want to note: When I activate the plugin, it doesn’t crash the site immediately. It takes about 2-3 min. I can navigate both the WP admin and the front-end of the site for a bit.

TacoVerdo, you had requested logs. Will these help?

    Bump.

    TacoVerdo, does HumanATV’s file help?

    Anyone else have an update?

    Bumping this up.

Here is my issue now. With the plugin active, my site is functional with the exception of my homepage ONLY if I’m logged in. The error that pops up while on the homepage while logged in is, “This webpage has a redirect loop”.

    Here is the process:
Fresh visit to my site – cookies have been cleared and everything works great.
I then log in as a member to my site.
It then tries to redirect me to the homepage, but then I get the error “redirect loop”.
If I close the browser and visit my site again, same error “redirect loop” because my cookies are enabled and has me logged in.
If I clear the cookies and then visit my site, everything works fine, but I’m no longer logged in and the process starts over.

However, if I am logged in and know a sub-directory address “sitename.com/about” then that page works fine and I can navigate from there. But as soon as I click the homepage button, I get the error “redirect loop”.

This happens across all browsers. What are my options?

    Thanks.

@humanatv, that is a _really_ long log file. Can you please tell me at what date/time the problem occurred? It’ll help me narrow the search down a lot.

@weezinged, that looks like either a problem with your .htaccess file or some other redirect being added in the wrong spot. Please have your web host (or someone else who knows what he/she is doing) take a look at your .htaccess and disable any plugins that do redirections. That may help you find the cause.

    @tacoverdo, around February 3. Thanks!

So it looks like the problem is with my theme, because if I switch to twenty eleven, I can update to the latest version and no white screen, If i switch to my theme again after that, I get white screen..

My php memory limit is 128MB, can it be not enough for this plugin?

The only version that works is 1.4.24 and older (this and older versions work great), any never version isn’t working (always getting that white screen after I click on activate button).

At least any ideas where I should look at? I know this is a problem with my theme, but still would be nice at least to get a hint where I should look at. I’m using automobile theme – https://templatic.com/app-themes/automobile

I was getting the same issue, but after simply restarting NGINX, PHP5-FPM and memcached, the issue was solved. Your hosting is probably using some way of caching, causing this issue. You can try to ask them to clear the cache, although this might be difficult on shared hosting.

    sudo service php5-fpm restart
    sudo service nginx restart
    sudo service memcached restart
