• Is there a simple way (without plugins) to always show a (clickable) thumbnail when an author adds an image (or attachment) to the post or the page? (In every situation: thumbnail, medium, large, full.)

    Example current situation (wrong):
Author adds full 3000x2000px image to his post. Theme shows a 2000px height image and – theme width – px width.

    Example how it should be:
Author adds full 3000x2000px image to hist post. Theme is showing a thumbnail. On click thumbnail > show original size.

    Thanks in advance!

Or a simple code to set a maximum width and height for the medium, large and full images?

    Any help is appreciated!

what about creating a shortcode to output a thumbnail linked to the original image?

Thanks for your reply ysr5. That’s a logic solution.
I’ll go and try that and if I found the right code, I’ll mark this topic as resolved.

If anyone having a copy paste solution it would be awesome!
Theme must be ready within a short period of time ??

if you want achieve something you allways need to invest energy. you got an idea how you could solve that problem so start working instead of waiting ??

I know ysr5. After a couple of hours trying to solve this problem I thought I need some help. That’s why I mentioned the “copy paste solution”.
