Am admin but can't see draft posts

    Hello,

    I am an admin, but if I try to preview a post I get the message “You do not have permission to preview drafts”.

    From googling I have discovered that one thing to check is in settings>general and check if the same address is in the wordpress URL field and the Site address URL.

    Well for me they are not – but I need it that way. I have

    WordPress URL – https://94.136.40.103/~timpeacock.org
    Site URL – https://www.timpeacock.org

    To test, I replaced the site URL with the same as the WordPress URL and then I could indeed try to preview a post I now can.

    However – I need the outfacing URL to be the https://www.timpeacock.org as it looks unprofessional to have the 94.136etc one.

    Can anyone help me with this please?

    Have realised, I think, that my problem is wider than just the preview posts. Basically because my wordpress is located at the 94.136 address I am not viewed as “logged in” on the timpeacock.org site.

    Any ideas how to have your site URL and wordpress URL different but still log in to the site URL?
