Am I being dumb, or am I missing the shortcode for this?

I’m not sure I understand the question. What would it mean to be missing the shortcode? Have you read the instructions? The shortcode is fully documented there, but you don’t really need to know all the shortcode options. Clicking “insert into post” on a video will automatically generate the shortcode for you and insert it into the post you’re editing.
