Am I being hacked???

  • I have statpress installed, so I know where my traffic comes from and where it goes. I just noticed this:

    https:// www. MYDOMAINNAME .com/wp-admin/__JC_UNKNOWN_VAR_cloak.regionals-2009-08-08-00-02.vars.referer__

    in the like 5 of the links where it shows “Last Referrers”.

    That doesn’t seem right to me. What is it?

    I don’t think it is from hacking.It looks like a spammer unsuccessfully tried to add comments or “scrape “some content posts from your blog.Scraping is like stealing content from a blog or website and posting it as their own.It’s done by automatic robotz on a ‘cloaked’ site and posted on a number of normal sites.Such duplicate content could hurt your ranking.Check out the latest blog entry by Holly Mann who found a plug-in posted on another blog to solve this epidemic (for the most part).
    Just google her or google Honest Riches.
