Just installed Contact Form 7 and MailChimp for WordPress Lite. Integration with Mailchimp is fine. I created a test page and installed a contact form 7 form on it.
In your plugin, I checked the Registration Form checkbox. Now, where is the checkbox supposed to show up? I thought it would magically find the Contact Form 7 form, but it doesn’t. What am I doing wrong?

Also assuming I get it working, how will the form’s elements integrate with Mailchimp in order to get the correct info in the correct fields?

What I want is to have my contact form (currently in another plugin) give users the option of signing up for a newsletter or not. At the moment there are 2 forms on the page, one for MailChimp and one for everything else, which is kind of dumb.

    Hi there,

The registration form option points to the default WordPress registration form.

In order to add a checkbox to a CF7 form you can use the [mc4wp_checkbox] code in your CF7 form mark-up. This will automatically render a checkbox which, when checked, will subscribe the given email and name to the list selected in MailChimp for WP > Checkboxes.

Should you want to control the fields sent to MailChimp then you can prefix the field names with mc4wp-, followed by the name of the “merge tag” in MailChimp. Have a look at the FAQ for more info on how to do this.

    Hope that helps, good luck!

So then the result would be that I could choose which fields get sent to MailChimp, while still having all of them sent via normal form email rules! That’s exactly what I want!

I currently use Custom Contact Forms for my forms and I’m only using CF7 because of your built-in integration with it. Custom Contact Forms makes much more beautiful forms. Compare the 2nd form on https://yvonnelefort.net/contact-us vs https://yvonnelefort.net/contact-test. (The first form is from Easy Mailchimp right now).

But am I understanding your FAQ correctly that there’s a way to integrate your plugin with Custom Contact Forms?

Never mind, I’ve got it all working perfectly now. Thanks for a great plug-in!
