• I really like the way this works in spite of all its shortcomings but as I’m not a programmer, my control over it is strictly limited. There are bunch of things about it that are really infuriating and so basic to the interface but it seems Automattic are not supporting its development?

    So anyone else who interested in getting it work right, I’d like to hear from you.

  • I just started exploring the P2 theme, and from the looks of things on this forum, you’re not alone in using it, but like most other free themes, you’ll have to rely on the community for the majority of support.

    Unfortunately, I don’t know enough Jquery or Ajax to be of much help.

    I checked out your site and we have a lot of the same ideas. I too put in a header, changed the width, and cleaned it up so it’s not so busy.

    What things are not working correctly for you?

    I am using P2 Theme too, but i don’t edit the original files. I only use the default Set for the P2 Theme, but in the Future i will made some Child Themes for my Blogs they are use P2 Theme! ??

    A couple of things to start with:

    inserting links seems not to work unless you’re in the back-end edit mode;

    Sometimes, when posting, it doesn’t insert the title, behaving as if it’s a front page post;

    If you edit a post on the front page, it displays as HTML only which is a drag.

    I’ve not edited style.css

    I like the idea of it being part BBS and part blog but I think the problem lies with the interface, or rather lack of it as the BBS part gives users only limited control, though I see that it’s not easy to put the back end editor on the front page.
