    Dear WooCommerce Amazon Pay Community,

Hello, my name is Andrew. I would like to build an Amazon affiliate shop and keep shoppers on my website. I have seen other people build affiliate shops with WooCommerce but the links redirect to Amazon, Ebay etc.. However this plugin says that shoppers stay on your website. I am building an interactive calculator for my site and want direct people to purchase everything they calculated by adding it to a shopping cart or shopping list so they can then purchase the items.

    1. How does this plugin keep people on my website?
    2. Does this plugin put products into a shopping cart on my site?
    3. I’m thinking of ways to keep people on my site so they can access the list and make the purchase process as seamless as possible. I am very new to building websites and learning how to create the features I need within my website. Does anyone have any ideas?
    4. I want to offer products from multiple affiliate programs and have it set up like a shop as I have seen others do with WooCommerce. Is this the plugin I want or should I use the just WooCommerce and add products and external/affiliate products within the WooCommerce interface?

If this is not the correct forum for all of these questions let me know and I will post in the correct place.

    Regards,
    Andrew

  • Hi @drewpar – Thanks for reaching out!

Before I spend the time answering your questions, I just wanted to let you know that the Amazon Pay plugin is not an affiliate plugin. Amazon Pay is simply a way for customers to pay on your WooCommerce store, very similar to PayPal, Stripe, etc.

As far as how Amazon Pay keeps people on your site, that occurs during checkout. Some payment gateway plugins direct your customer’s offsite to pay, such as PayPal, but Amazon Pay is secure within your own checkout page.

Let me know if this makes sense and if any of your questions above still apply.

    Thanks!

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
