    Hello,

    If thumbnails are being properly generated by WordPress Media Library during the initial upload process then your images will be resized correctly.

    If you only have the original images without its thumbnails. Then you should make sure that either the GD or ImageMagick extensions are installed.

    Let me know if the problem persists.

    What is GD?

    GD is a library that manipulates images data.
    Do your images get resized after your upload them through the media library when you deactivate the plugin?

    yes they do, i will look into GD or ImageMagick as you suggested
