Amazon Quick Linker losing parts of the code

  • I installed the Amazon Quick Linker widget a while back to make adding links to titles easier. Unfortunately, WordPress seems to randomly strip out elements of the links.

    That is, an administrator will type in the proper code for a book, say <a type="amzn" asin="B000012345">Book Title and it will link properly when tested, and then a few days later, the code will be stripped to just read <a type="amzn">Book Title</a>.

    For various reasons, this can cause problems. For one thing, if the writer has used any formatting on the book title, that sometimes gets caught in the search and the Amazon link will come up void (<a type="amzn"><em>Book Title</em></a> goes nowhere). Is there any solutin to this?

    The ” is properly included at the end of the code. I messed up in the example, but we’ve been doing it right on site! This has happened several times.

    And, sometimes it doesn’t happen. It’s very strange.
