Is there a way to get the hreflang URL’s from Polylang into the Amp version created by this plugin? According to AMP documentation both the html version and the amp version need to have the proper hreflang tag.
Thanks for your time and help!

  • Hi @dontwakeme,

Thanks for getting in contact with us, Polylang plugin will handle the hreflang tags, there is no requirement to make any adjustments for AMP URLs. Have you already set up Polylang with AMP? If so we’re happy to take a look at your setup. You will be able to see link tags making references to the other versions, such as the following example…

    generated code

Thx for the fast reply! We are currently testing here:
    https://www.bookmaker-canada.com/fr/promo/article-de-bienvenue/

Currently it is running Polylang and AMP Plugin.
Polylang seems to work fine creating all the hreflang tags in the html version.
Alternate link to amphtml is also there.

    But in the AMP Version

    the hreflang tags are missing.

Thx for your time and help

    Hi @dontwakeme,

I had a look at your website, the hreflang tag is missing, which theme are you using, and could you share screenshots from your polylang settings?

When you get back I will try to reproduce it on my side.

@fellyph sorry that I let you wait! We used a costum child theme but I just checked with a standard wordpress theme for AMP and with the twenty twentyone theme hreflang tags are showing up in the AMP version. I will foward this issue to our devs – thanks a lot for your time and help!
