we use version 4.0.15 of the plugin, which is the latest version to date.

The code is transformed by your AMP plugin, it’s not directly from WP-Appbox.

I checked some sites and my dev-blog, it’s working.

It seems like your AMP plugin don’t recognize the image, there is width/height and a layout-class missing. Which AMP plugin do you use?

Workaround (don’t know if it’s working): Try to add width=”” height=”” to img-tag of the app icon in the template files (folder /tpl/)…

I would say it’s something they need to do, as it’s the plugin which “AMPed” the code.

As of today, AMP by Automattic indeed had an update, which fixed our issues as far as we can tell. (checked 10 random error pages from over 200 which now validate correctly)
I suggest updating the plugin and reevaluate. It also seemed to fix another error we had with a different plugin. Eigher they really did improve quite a bit or the previous version was simply faulty.
