    Hi,

    Since the last update we are seeing GSC warnings for almost all of our AMP pages. The warning is ‘Error in required structured data element’.

    Running the pages through the Structured Data Testing Tool shows 4 Errors for Article. 3 of the errors are ‘A value for the logo field is required’ for the publisher. The other error is author name ‘A value for the name field is required’

    Maybe the name error is related to this bug on github but I can’t understand what is wrong with our logo.

    We have it set in Yoast ‘Search Appearance>General>Organisation logo’ as a 1134*1134 jpg (https://turkeysforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/Flagdefinitive.jpg) but it doesn’t seem to be getting picked up since the last update.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Barry

    Ditto here. All logos and author images are in place. Still getting the warning and error. Tried uploading another set of author image and site logo but the warning and error continues. Tried another AMP plugin, AMP for WP, still the warning/error persists. However, didn’t try another structured data/schema plugin.

    This is the error/warning that I am getting:

    Error
    image: A value for the image field is required.

    Warning
    The image field is recommended. Please provide a value if available.

    The error started since last update. Google AMP search console is showing all AMP pages to have error with these warnings:

    Linked AMP version is valid with warnings
    It is eligible for some AMP-specific features in Google Search results, but is not fully compliant with AMP best practices.

    Error in required structured data element.

    I’m getting the same message here. All help is appreciated.

    The release date of the version 11.5.0 of Yoast SEO is June 25, 2019. It has one of these enhancements:

    * Moves the primary image for a page out of the WebPage piece into its own graph piece.

    Probably that should solve the problem.

    Yay, I found the solution. Remove your photo from your gravatar profile and the error is gone.

    @@turkeysforlife,

    The name issue you are having is related to this Github issue you had pointed out: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/13094. A fix is ready and will be released in v11.6 of Yoast. We are not sure when that fix will be ready, only that it will be released then.

    The Logo issue you are having, can you confirm if you update to v11.5 of Yoast (we had a recent release) that the issue is resolve?

    @btrfabrications, @dsolzman
    If you are still experiencing the issue per the forum guidelines, we ask that you please create separate topics for the issues you are experiencing. That way we can focus specifically on your concerns. Plus you will get your own alerts for the issue rather than someone else’s.

    Hi @pcosta88

    Thanks for confirming the name issue is that same problem as Github.

    And, no, the logo issue remains even after updating to v11.5 unfortunately.

    Same problem here. Bug with invalid “logo” still exists in v11.5

    The next version, 11.6, comes on July 9, 2019. It has the following bug fixes which should solve the problem:

    1. Fixes a bug where the Organization and Article Schema nodes would incorrectly be output when a website had not set their organization’s name and/or logo.
    2. Fixes a bug where the Schema @id for Person could be wrong depending on your knowledge graph settings.

    @turkeysforlife and others,

    The Logo issue is also expected to be resolved in v11.6 of Yoast. You can see the closed issue (meaning we have a fix and it is ready to go!) here https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/13168.

    We are not sure when 11.6 will be released only that a fix for the Logo is also expected to be a part of it.
