/amp/ not working with static front page

    Hi,
    I’m using WP 4.4 with AMP 0.1 version. My site is using a static page as the front page. Appending /amp/ to other page urls (i.e. domain.com/about/amp/) works, however, appending it to the base url (domain.com/amp/ results in a 404-error.
    Any ideas on how I can fix this?
