AMP page takes 20s more to load than non-amp one

    Hi!

    First I wanted to thank all the developers at AMP for WP for their tremendous effort in putting this complete tool out there to simplify the process of Installing and using AMP efficiently in my WordPress website.

    The process was straightforward and simple. However, I have found a huge problem that has prevent me from redirecting my mobile traffic to the AMP pages: loading time is absurd, over 20s more than loading time for the same page in the AMP version (despite the considerably better page speed ratings).

    Any idea on what could be happening and how to solve this? I really am looking forward to investing in AMP but with that load time I don’t see any chance at me ranking better.
