My amp plugin is configured to generate all pages with amp-img html tags.

But it is generating img tags inside amp-img tags, even so the pages pass the amp validator validation.

The problem is that this is generating errors in the semrush audit, decreasing the site’s heath. Semrush says it is due to the use of img tags in the html of the amp pages.

What could this be? The pages are generated automatically by the plugin, I have no control over this. I really don’t know what else to do.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @felipemenezessupersim

Thanks for contacting us! You’re right, the amp-img tag leverages the standard img tag to display images, but it optimizes performance compared to the basic version.

We reviewed your page on AMP test and didn’t find any problems with the amp-img tags themselves. Since the issue seems to be related to Semrush’s audit, it might be best to reach out to their support team. They can provide specific guidance on how to address the errors their tool flagged.

    We hope this helps!

    Thanks for the reply.

I’ve already spoken to them and unfortunately they just asked me to contact AMP support.

It was as I imagined, the problem seems to be in the Semrush audit, the pages are validated by the official AMP website, but there are still errors in Semrush.

You can also opt to use img instead of amp-img now in the AMP plugin settings.

Yes, I was aware of that. But semrush support says that img is not allowed, the error actually seems to be in their audit.

@felipemenezessupersim <img> tags are allowed in AMP #30442, I think their AMP specs are outdated, which might be the reason their Audit is giving AMP issues.
