AMP Problem with Facebook Mobile Browser

    Hello,

    Since last Saturday, i’m facing some issues with Facebook and AMP.

    I was redirecting all mobile users to amp version, but since that day, when someone visits my site through the facebook app (the links are opening in the FB Mobile Browser) the page won’t load. The get a white page.

    If they choose to open it with Chrome, the page loads normally.

    I’ve seen at least two more cases, and one of them is a joomla site, so i think it’s something with the amp system, and not your plugin.

    Is that a known issues, any ideas how to fix it? For now i enabled a “normal” non-AMP Mobile Theme, but i’d like to jump back to amp.

  • @jamesosborne confirmed. Milind’s plugin deleted, cache deleted, it works.

    It seems quite slow though. The amp version is actually slower than the temp fix plugin loading non-amp version. But I guess FB doesn’t want ppl using amp instead of their instant articles.

    Thanks for the update @xxxlesy. Interesting that you’re finding the AMP version slower, we’ll also do some testing on our side.
