Amp Url can be customized in transitional mode or not?

Why does the client want /amp/? There is no difference from AMP’s perspective from ?amp.

We’re planning to default to ?amp=1 in the future for both Reader and Transitional modes: https://github.com/ampproject/amp-wp/issues/2204

Nevertheless, we will allow for them to be customized, but it will be up to you to make the necessary rewrite rule customizations. Currently, /amp/ is only available in legacy Reader mode. Using ?amp is the only supported URL structure for Transitional mode.

here it is mentioned that using ?amp is not indexing in the google I think. User has customized the url then it is indexing.

One more thing can it be possible that ?amp will be used for reader mode and /amp/ will be used for transitional mode.

Client is saying that he has seen many websites in amp with /amp/ url. Thats why he needs that url.

Please guide me about this thing.

Simply seeing websites with /amp/ is not really a sufficient reason. You can see examples of ?amp being used here: https://amp-wp.org/showcases/?template_mode=transitional

These sites in Transitional mode have AMP pages are being indexed by Google search successfully with ?amp in the URL.

In any case, the ability to customize the URL will be available in v2.1 by means of https://github.com/ampproject/amp-wp/issues/2204

Currently it is not supported.
