AMP version breaking site

Hi,
The AMP version of the site seems wrecked. Can you please help?

Thanks for reaching out. It looks like you’re using a theme which isn’t fully AMP compatible, resulting in the behaviour you’re experiencing on your AMP URLs. Have you tried the plugin in reader mode, while installing and activating one of the AMP compatible themes?
Thanks for your message.
I have previously had issues with this plugin. And back then, I was asked to download the ‘AMP Chaplin Theme Compat’ plugin for the theme. Here’s the thread: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/site-jammed-after-downloading-this-plugin/
Please advice.
Indeed the plugin compatibility fix provided by @milindmore22 does address the themes primary incompatibility, the hamburger menu. Having said that you seem to have a background image and other features of this theme (or possibly active plugin) which are not AMP compatible. These are theme or plugin incompatibilities, not an issue with the AMP plugin. The AMP plugin helps users achieve AMP valid URLs by stripping out or identifying such issues.
As you may image we can’t provide solutions for third party themes or plugins other than basic fixes. I would be happy however to look at the background image which uses custom JavaScript and see if there is anything I can provide to ensure it works in AMP. Can you inform me how you added the background image, via your themes customizer?
For other incompatibilities such as any particular CoBlocks Gutenberg blocks these also seem not AMP compatible.
Thanks for the prompt message.
I haven’t had any issues for a while and now this has begun again. So what do you suggest I do? Changing themes would mean the site may need major changes, wouldn’t it?
I must admit I don’t understand how images would wreck it ?? But I uploaded them the usual way via the WordPress media library.
Please advice.
No problem at all. Did your background image work for you previously using the same theme? I don’t see any reason why it may have displayed previously and not now. I’ll check the theme myself and report back to you here with what I can determine.

It’s not the images themselves. If the placement if images uses custom JavaScript – output on the front end of your website then this is not compatible with the AMP framework. Some optimization plugins for can result in this behavior, if not suppressed from AMP URLs. It looks like this may be the case for your site. For that reason I would suggesting using plugins that are verified as AMP compatible.
I’ll let you know once I check the Chaplin background image.
Thanks for your message.
I’m looking forward to hearing from you. I hope I can resolve this soon.
In the meantime, do you recommend I disable the AMP plugin?
Thanks for your patience on this. I’ve checked the Chaplin theme and there are no issues with the background image in AMP URLs.
With that I suspect you may have some plugins or other features impacting your images. If you want to share your Site Health information privately using this form I’d be happy to check your setup.
Alternatively you can try and temporary suppress both your Jetpack plugin (as you seem to be using Photon) and WP Smush It before checking once more.
@droyed Hi there! Are you still having trouble with the AMP plugin? If so, if you’d like to share your Site Health information privately via this form, we’d be happy to take a look. Thanks!
@droyed As we haven’t received a response, I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist. Thank you!
Hi Beth @shetheliving, James @jamesosborne, and Milind @milindmore22
Thanks for following up on this.
Based on the feedback I have received in the thread above, I changed my theme and plugins to fit within the AMP ecosystem. For instance, I now have the Default (Twenty Twenty-One) WordPress theme.
However, I now have several pages that are showing errors:
I did not have these errors previously when I had a non-compatible theme. And so, I’m wondering what went wrong ??
Could you please assist? Thanks a ton!
If you’d like to open a specific support topic for any of the specific errors we’d certainly be happy to assist you with your queries. Note that by looking at some of the screenshots you provided you may be best served by querying the Search Console help center, such as the error in relation to a URL not on Google.
For any URLs showing AMP is valid with warnings I’m sure we can assist with these if you want to open a support topic for any specific URL with this notice when using Search Coonsole.
Yes, I don’t know what happened with ‘URL not on Google’ because all the pages have been indexed previously. Upon closer look, it seems that the culprit is the AMP issue I mentioned earlier.
So would you be able to assist me with the AMP errors?
Under AMP settings, I’m getting the following warning: Error in required structured data element.
Please see:
Could you please help me fix them.
Thank you.`

I suspect you just need to perform a crawl request, or submit your sites WordPress sitemap as below before waiting for your site to be crawled.
https://livingunrefined.com/sitemap.xmlIn relation to the “Error in required structured data element” I’m sure we can help out here. Please open a new support topic so we can work with you on this issue specifically.
