    Hi everyone ??

I struggle to understand the difference between a plugin like WPTouch and AMP for WP.

I currently use WPTouch for my mobile users but understand that AMP is superior, hence I would like mobile visitors to see the AMP version of my site. Two questions:

    1. Is it enough to uninstall WPTouch, and install and customize AMP for WP + AMP? Or should I think about something else?
    2. Once above operation is complete, I can see the AMP version of my site on desktop by adding /?amp to my URL, but on mobile version it seems to default to the desktop version, and not the AMP. Is there something I am missing?

Thank you very much for your help!
    Ntel

    Hey Ntel @ntel

Thank you so much for using the plugin!

Here are the questions you asked for.
    1) If you use the mobile redirection option that is built into the AMPforWP then yes, you can do that and redirect all the mobile traffic to AMP version.

    2) The mobile redirection option will take care of that as I mentioned in the first one.

    I hope it helps,

    Regards,
    Ahmed

    Thanks @ahmedkaludi!

Unfortunately a second problem arises when I do what you suggest and try my site on mobile: all pages and posts (besides the front page and archives page) show a “too many redirects occurred” type of errors.

Is there anything I can do against this?

    best,
    Ntel

    Hey @ntel

That’s strange. Can you post the URL of the site?
