An ability to show the total amount of reviews a business has?

    Hi richplugins,

    We’re using the Pro version of your Google Business Reviews, and we’re using the floating badge option (though have worked with and looked at the other display options to explore whether this is covered elsewhere) and we were wondering whether it’s possible to display the total reviews accrued – along with the star rating.

    So it would be like:

    Google rating 4.9 ★★★★★
    (from 32 reviews)

    If it were possible that this was a switched display option I think it would be good for the visitors as it offers an extra level of trust. I understand not everyone would want this but you could add as a display option.

    I understand it may not be possible with the current API, if not that’s fine just thought I’d enquire!

    Hi Stephen,

    Thank you for the great idea! Actually, we already think about it, because it’s a really needed feature.

    Unfortunately, Google does not provide information about the total number of reviews for the place. It was in the API two years ago, but Google removed it in 2016. So, there’s no official way to implement this.

    However, at the moment we implement new version of the Pro plugin and think to add it, but this value, I mean the total number of reviews, client should fill and control manually. I can’t exactly when the new plugin will be, but it definitely not be until October – November this year.

    Ah I had a feeling it was related to the API, I wonder why Google thought to remove it!?Thank you for explaining this as it’s helpful to know.

    I look forward to the new version, and again, thank you for your help!
