Does this issue happen only when paying with Apple Pay? If you disable your Stripe plugin and try with a different payment method, do you see the same issue?

I have done some testing. Results below…

I kept the same Stripe plugin activated and tested with ‘credit card’ payment method on iPhone and Desktop (previously, I was only on iPhone).

01: iPhone, method = credit card:

If I use credit card payment method, the link works – the login panel slides open within the /cart page and says;

“If you have shopped with us before, please enter your details below. If you are a new customer, please proceed to the billing section”

[LOGIN FORM]

02: iPhone method = Apple Pay:

– Apple Pay window opens and it looks like payment has been accepted.
– Sends me back to cart where I see the “An account is already registered with your email address. Please log in.” message.
– Login link broken. Clicking on the “Please log in” link does nothing.

03: Desktop (Safari)

– Credit card: OK (same as 01 – login link works)
– Apple Pay: OK (same as 01 – login link works)

Thanks for that! I noticed that the Stripe plugin you are using is not the one developed by WooCommerce, it is the one developed by Payment Plugins – have you already reached out to them to see if they are aware of this issue?

I have checked with the developer who is very responsive. He confirms there is not any code in the plugin that interacts with the login link.

Also, did you look at this other post?

Thanks for checking in with the developer! I did see the other post, since the Apple Pay functionality is not coming from our Stripe plugin I wanted to make sure the developer of the plugin you are using was consulted to see if they had any ideas.

What I’d recommend testing from here would be:

– Test for theme and plugin conflicts as mentioned in the thread you linked
– Test with the Stripe plugin developed by WooCommerce to see if you have the same issue

That should give us some clues and directions on where to go for investigating.
