An active PHP session was detected

Hi,
First thank you for the latest update on this favorite plugin, great that your still working on this,improve it…..
Just a quick question, when i look in my wordpress admin–>tools->Site Health
i get this “error” saying…
“A PHP session was created by a session_start() function call. This interferes with REST API and loopback requests.
The session should be closed by session_write_close() before making any HTTP requests”
if i try to deactivate the Football pool plugin Version 2.8.1 the “error” goes away.
Is there anything i can do to avtivate the plugin again + get rid of the ….
