One of our users cannot edit any widgets. She has administrator status as do I. I logged in on my computer using her password and get the same results. So this isn’t a problem specific to her computer or browser. Her view of the widgets page looks a bit different than mine. Next to each widget I see a downward pointing triangle that expands the widget when I click on it. She sees the word “Edit” (which does nothing when you click on it). I also see the title of the widget, i.e. “Visual Editor: Newsletter Archive.” All she sees is “Visual Editor” (And since so many widgets were created with the visual editor it is impossible to tell them apart.

Any idea why one user would see a different interface than another user with the same permissions? And why one user would not be able to edit widgets?

Instead of de-bugging this, how about setting up a new admin account and see if that works? If it does, you can create a new account for her and assign her previous content (if any) to that one when you delete her old one.

Thanks Bill. The user had accessibility mode enable. For some reason that seems to be conflicting with the system. But it works fine with it disable. So We are going that route to fixing the problem.

That’s great. Glad you worked it out.
