• hi. i updated new gen gallery and it disappeared. now it says, “[ngg src=”galleries” ids=”640″ display=”basic_slideshow”]” or something similar where there were galleries. i checked my plugins and it isn’t showing. i tried to reinstall and it said it was already installed.

at the same time, when i go to dashboard, it says,”An automated WordPress update has failed to complete – please attempt the update again now.”

i am assuming it is all related. can someone help? i would be very happy to get all my galleries back. <3

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • have you tried downloading the plugin and manually placing it in your wp-content->plugin folder. Most of the time the plugin files just contain the code. The media and settings are stored else where. I’ve had this happen a few times just downloading the plugin and manually placing it into the plugin directory fixes the problem.

thanks! hmmm. sounds interesting. not sure how to do that. i am taking over an existing website and before now have just been doing content management. i did download it and try to install it and it said it was already there. when i go to plugins, i don’t see it. where would the wp-content->plugin folder be?
