An error occurred while sending email. Could not instantiate mail function.

  • I am using the current version of WP Cerber (9.5.7). Excellent plugin by the way !

    On top of the WP Cerber dashboard, the following message appeared :

    Warning! An error occurred while sending email. Could not instantiate mail function. Error #2. Recipient(s): xxxxxxxxxx@gmail.com. Subject: “[website name] WP Cerber: Number of lockouts is increasing (4)”. Date: 21/09/2023, 21:58

    Any idea why the email could not be sent ? Or how to investigate ?
