I’m planning to have bluehost host my weblog. Haven’t signed up yet. I did download v 2.1 and a template (vistered) from Theme Viewer…..

Is it even possible to build up the site just on my own computer and THEN upload it? Or do I need to have it uploaded FIRST so that I can THEN re-work it?

I’ve looked thru the unzipped files and can’t find a place to begin….and a review of the docs leads me to the firm knowledge that I am definitely at the very base of the learning curve on this….

    Thanks for any basic guidance….

Um, can you run PHP on your own computer and can you install a MYSQL database? If you don’t know what that all means, then you are very much at the very very beginning of all things involving the Internet. ;0

if you do understand what that means, then yes, you can built it on your local computer and then upload… ??

If you follow this guide, or this one, you should be able to get a blog running on your computer before uploading to net.
