• I was a Yoast User when I began blogging. On the whole this was because it was the widest advertised and the best known. Even though I didn’t have an income from my blog I was prepared to pay for the premium tool. A few years in I began a second blog and there was no way I could consider paying for two licenses so I began looking for a replacement. That is when I discovered SEOPress.
From what I have discovered so far SEOPress seems to have a much wiser selection of tools. I don’t think I am using them all to yet but that is to do with my own learning curve.
When my Yoast subscription expired on my first blog I wish I had read the instructions for importing data from Yoast, that was my error and it has left me with the job of going back and rewriting all of it in my previous posts, however this is not a bad thing as it encourages me to check them all out while I am doing it.
If you are looking for an SEO plugin I would really recommend SEOPress as you can use your license across a few blogs if you have more than one. However, if you are swapping from Yoast learn from my mistake. Deactivate Yoast when you install SEOPress but don’t delete it (and all its contents) until you have imported it.
