An issue regarding the display of Titles.

    Greetings,
    I bold the headings (H1) of my blog posts and upon visiting the ‘All Posts’ in the WP admin, the title of the post is displayed as title of the blog post.
    Please see the attached screenshot, https://paste.pics/JTT3V

    Previously, it was just displaying the title of the blog post.
    I have updated to the version 6.1.1 of WordPress, this issue was present on the previous version of WordPress too.

    I would recommend not to use HTML code in the title. These are displayed for security reasons as you can see in your screenshot now.

    If you want to make the titles bold in the frontend, then use CSS. If you show a link to the page, they can also tell you what you have to do exactly.

    Hi, thanks for responding.
    I didn’t use HTML code in the title I just pasted text from MS Word (the heading was bolded in the MS Word) and when I open the post in the WP dashboard, this doesn’t appear and this only appears in ‘All Posts’.

    Then exactly this copying process from Word is the problem. Before you paste the text into WordPress, paste it into a plain text editor (editor in Windows, Notepad++ or something like that). Then such formatting will be lost and not confuse in the output.

    Thanks a lot for your suggestions.
    I think this is just a cosmetic issue and as this isn’t showing in the frontend (in the published post), will leaving this as it is would be fine?

    Yes, you can also leave it as it is. It can only affect future developments of WordPress and/or your theme by misrepresentations if you continue to insert content in this way.

    Hi, your suggestion of pasting the heading in Notepad to clear formatting really helped, I’m following it, thank you.
