An unexpected error occurred In Yoast SEO Plugin

    Hi There,

    I face a problem in Yoast SEO free plugin, when I add some text in meta description, title or nay other changes to setup the Yoast SEO plugin after save the changes and unexpected error is showing on the screen that under below.

    “

    Something went wrong. An unexpected error occurred.

    We are very sorry, but the following error appears to have interrupted our application:Failed to execute ‘insertBefore’ on ‘Node’: The node before which the new node is to be inserted is not a child of this node.

    Unfortunately, this means that all your unsaved changes will be lost. You can try refreshing this page to fix the problem. If this error keeps happening, please contact our support team and we’ll get you all the help you need!”

    Can you please help to fix the above mention Yoast SEO error for my website.

    I use WordPress Current version: 6.6.1 and also use the Yoast SEO plugin Version 23.3 for my website.

    Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty-Two.

    Please test this on your development or staging site if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

    Thank you for your suggestions.

    I followed the steps to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switched to a standard theme (Twenty Twenty-Two) on my website, but the issue still persists.

    I also tried using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin, but unfortunately, the error continues to occur when saving settings in Yoast SEO.

    Hi Mushrit,

    Thank you for getting back to me regarding the unexpected error with the Yoast SEO plugin.

    I investigated the console error and resolved the issue using the WP Optimize plugin. However, the error reappeared after two days.

    The Readability tab is still not functioning properly on my website posts.

    Could you please share with us the screenshot of the readability analysis error? Is there any specific steps that we can follow to replicate the error from our end using Yoast SEO 23.3? Also what issues you face on the console?
