An Unexpected HTTP Error occurred during the API request.

    I have three errors that I can not fix:

    1. An Unexpected HTTP Error occurred during the API request.
    2. RSS error: WP HTTP Error: couldn’t connect to host.
    3. When trying to notify bing with Google (XML) Sitemaps Generator I get this: WP HTTP API Web Request failed: connect() timed out!
    I have been googling the whole day and mainly I only found closed forum entries without an answer on the end of it.
    I also found this but it didn’t help.
    I also tried to switch all the plug-ins off but it didn’t help.
    I currently run WordPress 3.1.1.

    I really have enough of these issues and I can only find closed forums from one year ago. Why do people close forum topics with out any answer?! At least leave a comment on the end that “only God knows the solution” or something!!

    Nearly forgot: I have this site also running on local host and there I don’t have these problems, only on server. So I assume it either WordPress or server misconfiguration. Help!
