    I press search > An unknown error occurred
    I press popular > An unknown error occurred
    I press newest > An unknown error occurred
    I press Recently updated > An unknown error occurred

    … in youtube videos and everywhere on self hosted instalations … they click on plugins/add new and there are downloaded from internet and listed … popular … newest … but I only get and error message

    https://www.host.sk is the name ot the webpage host server.

    can you hellp me ? is it because of the host server … and on other host servers it works flawlessly ?

  • Try deactivating all of your existing plugins and then see if it works.

    Also, in your dashboard, go to Settings > Media and make sure that your upload path is wp-content/uploads

    Note that there shouldn’t be a slash before, or after it.

    its a clean install I only made a wp config and entered database info and set up of wordpress …. also the upload path was empty=default/preset

    fitst thing I made uloaded set up wordpress and than I went to plugins and that error was there

    It could be a server configuration issue. If you have access to the server error logs, try looking through them for clues. Otherwise, contact your hosts.

    I’ve just finished a clean install here and I’m having the same issue.

    I fixed it here. I’ve compiled the php without curl support.

    I fixed it also moved to a paied host … no problems at all with nothing

    I started getting this error after I made a change directly to the options table in the database. I cured the issue by simply saving each of the settings pages in the admin panel.
