An 'Untitled' entry being created?

    Hello. I really like your plugin and it seems to be doing everything I need it to do. However, I’m trying to apply a sidebar to my news/post categories, but when I do, CAS seems to be adding an empty ‘Untitled’ entry to my posts.

    Here’s an example:

    If I view the page without a CAS sidebar (ie, the normal theme sidebar), it works fine, but as soon as I add a specific sidebar to say the ‘Latest News’ category, or ‘Archived News’ category, I get the ‘untitled’ entry.

    I can see the newly created ‘untitled’ page in my post list, but all it shows is an author – no page content.
    If I delete the ‘untitled’ post, then the sidebar returns to it’s original’ theme setting.

    Is there anything I can do to fix this?

    The “untitled” entry you see is in fact data used by Content Aware Sidebars. This can be seen by post_type=sidebar_group in the url. However, it should never be displayed in the frontend.
    Have you used a custom database query for your “Archived News” page?

    Hi there. Thanks for your response!
    It’s not just on the archived news page, but it generally happens on all ‘post category’ entries. I’m using CAS on other pages which seem fine (e.g.:

    I don’t really dabble with the database, it’s all done via the admin control panel. It’s unusual that I can also see the untitled page in the back-end, under the post category list of included entries.

    Can you suggest anything I could try, or would you like to have access to the admin to have a click around (not that I’m asking you to fix anything! – just so it might help you to see what’s wrong!)

    Yes that is unusual. Can you take a screenshot of this, or you can create an admin account for jv [at] intox .dk, then I will take a look at it asap. It sounds like there is a compatibility issue with the theme or another plugin.

    Thank you. I’ve done this for you – you should get an email about it.
    I don’t doubt for one minute that it is a conflict with another plugin! But it will be interesting to know how it’s happening. Feel free to delete sidebars / edit / add new ones to test it out.
