I have created a standard custom post type (very similar to “posts”). Everything is fine except that I CANNOT get the ‘Analytics’ column to show (note that it does show in the default ‘posts’ and ‘pages’).

I installed the Admin Columns Plugin to see if I could kind of tick the option and show the analytics column, but it still doesn`t add. After a few clicks it simply disappears from the options for what columns I can add.

I have searched the web up and down about this and toggled a bunch of settings to test things, but I haven’t found an answer.

Has anyone else had this problem, or do you, the developers, might know how I could solve it?

    Thank you.

  • Dear tjc-thomas

Could you tell me more about “Analytics” = what is this and where it comes from?

Ah… I didn’t realize it wasn’t a default column. Because it showed as a ‘default column’ I assumed it was part of the base WordPress, but it appears to come directly from the Google Analytics Dashboard for WP plugin.

I’m sorry to bring you an issue that is kind of in the middle of two plugins, but I hope we can try to resolve it (as well as for others who have this problem in the future).

    Dear tjc-thomas

Not a problem, at all ??

How to add Types CF you can read here: https://goo.gl/WQdQLk

    Thanks Marcin!

When I follow the steps though, ‘analytics’ does not appear as a field, and I’m not sure how to write the code to make it a user created field. I know the code exists somewhere because it appears on ‘pages’ and ‘posts’ but I don’t know how to add it to my own type that I’ve created.

Here is the column I’m talking about.

This is pulled from the ‘posts’ tab. I cannot seem to add it >_<

    Dear tjc-thomas

This column is not controlled by Types, then you can not choose it. Please ask Google Analytics Dashboard for WP plugin developer.

Just want to update that the issue has been resolved, and it seemed to be a problem with cache-ing/refreshing, and yes, something not having to do with the ‘Types’ plugin at all.

    Thanks for your time!
