• Hello,

    In the last month or so, I’ve noticed a discrepancy between the number of emails I’ve been receiving from CF7 and the number of events being recorded in Analytics. It used to match up one-to-one. I haven’t changed anything in my settings, so I’m thinking it has something to do with the 4.7 update?

    I will note that I am still using the now-deprecated on_submit hook to send events to Analytics. I haven’t been able to implement the new DOM events due to a conflict with another plugin that I’m using, so I’ll have to wait for that plugin author to update their plugin with a fix before I can do so.

    Is this a known issue with the on_submit and on_sent_ok hooks? Is it reasonable to assume that once I’m able to migrate over to DOM events, that the issue should be resolved?

    Nothing has changed in Contact Form 7 4.7 with regard to the on_submit hook. As it’s a JavaScript code runs on the client side, such issues can be seen when there are something (such as theme or other plugins) interrupting.

    I’ll start looking into possible plugin conflicts, thanks for getting back.
