Hi, I’m using woocommerce Version 8.5.1 and when I go to Analytics and Overview for All Data it will not show any data from previous years and the current year info is wrong. If I change it to US Dollars it shows fine and same for the other 4 currencies I am using.

Here is a screen shot of all data:

    https://prntscr.com/AI8Q52xg5V7P

Here is the same with US dollar:

Does anyone else have the same problem?

    thanks

    Breda

I don’t think there is another analytics plugin installed. Also we now see that the US Dollar report does not compare to last year properely.

How can I share the status report without making it public?

    thanks

    HI,

Here is a link to the status file:

    https://quickforget.com/s/2c57192a9823d0a5f2615825a94b6ba392b4d70d9ae17950

    To clarify:

I cant see the totals for 2022 or 2023

It is shown broken down per currency

I need the total in base currency as it used to be.

Example on the 31st December 2023 the total sales for the year were approx.. $697 up 20% compared to 2022

I can no longer see this information, it is all broken down per currency which doesn’t work for me I need the full totals.

    Thanks,

    Breda

    Hey, @bredamcguigan!

    Thanks for the information.

I see you have the plugin Sales Report By Country active. Do you mind disabling it and seeing if the issue persists?

If it does, it is good to do a full conflict test to see if any other plugin is interfering with the Analytics.

To test, you’ll first want to change the theme on your site to Storefront, then check to see if the issue is still present. If that resolves the issue, you’ll want to get in touch with your theme’s developer and see if they have an update or fix for you.

If changing the theme doesn’t help, you’ll want to deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and take a look. If that fixes the problem, re-enable the other plugins one by one (gradually), checking after each, to see where the issue is coming from.

    — Be sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. You can ask your host for backup functionality or you can consider using a service like Jetpack. If something goes wrong, you will be able to restore it.

    — Also, you can consider using a plugin like Health Check & Troubleshooting. This is a plugin developed by the WordPress community and it is helpful to disable plugins without affecting your current site visitors.

    — It is important to consider as well a staging functionality in case you would not like to touch your production site (you can ask your host if they offer this service), or you can use WP Staging for quickly spinning up a new test site.

You can find more about this in this guide.

Please let us know about your findings.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    HI,

I turned off the Sales by Country Plugin.

I had a staging site set up using an older version of Woocommerce (Version 7.9.0), it has the same plugins as the live site. When I run the analytics on this it does not have the currency option even though the same currencies are available on the staging site.

    Here is a screen shot:

    https://prntscr.com/T9dc2ijzPaAl

You’ll see it shows the % difference for revenue compared to the previous year.

The problem is on woocommerce Version 8.5.2 it has the drop down for currencies and the all data in base currency does not show the % difference and the totals are wrong:

    https://prntscr.com/ApJoxtckWU0P

If I change this to US Dollar it seems to be correct for dollar:

    https://prntscr.com/Pt1ddjr4RVpZ

So I don’t think its a conflict with a plugin or theme I think it is a problem with the analytics and the ALL data table?

    Thanks,

    Breda

    Hi @bredamcguigan,

    Thanks for sharing additional information.

Does the issue still exist on 8.5.2? Also, what about the PW Advanced Woo Reporting and Aelia Currency Switcher for WooCommerce plugin? Did you test disabling these two?

I’m wondering, as by default, WooCommerce Analytics doesn’t provide any feature to display reports based on currency or to modify them. There’s also no feature to filter by base currency or anything similar. It only provides an option filter based on day, not currency.

Since this option has been added via PW Advanced Woo Reporting and Aelia Currency Switcher for WooCommerce plugin, it would be best to reach out to the plugin’s developers for further assistance. I am sure they will have no problem supporting you there.

I hope this provides some clarity. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
