Anchor working on mobile, not on desktop

Hey there.
I’ve been experiencing troubles getting the anchors to work properly. They work on the mobile version, but on desktop nothing happens.

The page is built with elementor. The anchor is always placed in the very left top column of a section on the dektop design. The one column mobile design is hidden on desktop and vice versa. The navigation for desktop and mobile is both the one set up as primary.

Lets take the section “news”.
On desktop the section is made up of a three column design. The anchor #news is placed at the top of the left column. Its set to hidden on mobile.
On mobile the section is made up of a one column design with the elements stacked. The anchor #news is placed at the very top. Its set to hidden on desktop.

So there is always an active anchor for every section, but still, only the anchors on mobile work.

The only problem with that is, that the mobile menu doesnt collpase on its own, it stays open all the time, you have to manually click away to see the content.

I tried so much, even the “jump to id” plugin. But nothing. I’m about to go insane.
