Hello. I’m analyzing the wp_options table in the database. Normally, it contains between 200 to 800 rows, but I’ve noticed that after installing your plugin, it contains between 2500 to 5000 rows. Could you explain why your plugin significantly increases the number of entries in this table? Here’s a screenshot for reference: https://skr.sh/sMFKMJKbblR

There are a considerable number of entries with prefixes “theplus-post” and “theplus-term.” I installed your plugin for the sake of a single widget, “dark mode,” but now I’m facing a serious issue of database clutter, which is slowing down the website and the admin panel.

    Hello @stasonua0

We have discussed about this point. We have added those values based on number of posts, pages, products, reusable blocks and other on your site, which you can edit. We use that table to check when you last time edited that part of site and based on that, we decide if we should remove cache or not.

This whole system is part of our caching system, which generate page wise one combined-minified CSS & JS file to improve performance.

While you have noted this point and discussing more in-depth, We have planned it to improve it further and add as a meta value from default table of Posts and others. Which will save many fields and we will have just one column added there and it will be done. We already started working that way to reduce database values.

Thanks for your feedback and we will have new release soon based on our further development.

Though, We must assure you that, Our current system is not much resource heavy as adding few values in Database won’t make major difference as this practise followed by many industry leader caching plugins and design plugins too. It’s developed as per WordPress Guidelines and It won’t create major issue in terms of performance or resources required from Database end.

We always keen to get feedback and improve further. Thanks again for sharing this.
