    Hi,

    So Trusona is awesome. On a Desktop browser, it works great both using the iOS app and the Android app to validate. On iOS when you sign into the site from the device it opens the app, confirms it and you are logged in, but here is the issue:

    When trying to sign in to the site from an Android mobile device, sometimes it doesn’t redirect to the app. When it does, it asks to validate id (passcode or biometric) and then instead of opening a page where you can accept the login (like iOS does), the Android app opens the normal camera scanner. This obviously then doesn’t work since you can’t scan a code if the QR code is on the device you are trying to scan with.

    Can you please advise me on what to do? We want to use the Trusona ONLY mode since we use it for backend purposes only and the idea is to make our backend much more secure.

  • Hi Max,

    When authenticating on a mobile browser you will not see a secure QR code. Instead Trusona uses deep-linking which will redirect you from your WordPress site login page to the Trusona app. Once you select accept within the Trusona app and go back to the mobile browser you will be in a logged in state.

    The Trusona team is looking into the deep-linking issue you are experiencing on an Android browser. Trusona supports the Chrome browser and the Firefox browser on Android devices. Once this deep-linking issue is resolved on Android an update will become available for the Trusona WordPress plugin. I will message you when that update becomes available.

    An update to the Trusona app on Android has been made that will resolve deep-linking issues when using WordPress on a mobile supported browser on Android. The new Trusona app version as of today is 3.25.8. Trusona supports the Google Chrome browser for Android.
