Android phone – Player stops when opening other app

    Hi,

    I’ve installed your plugin on the above mentioned website. My client indicated that it is not possible to listen to the player ‘in the background’ on Android phones. In other words; the player stops playing when another app (for instance a game) is opened.

    Is this normal behaviour for your player or for audio players in general?

    Hi there,
    AudioIgniter is not a native application. The main issue is that both iOS and Android will suspend Chrome when another application opens or when the mobile device suspends itself. This is normal behavior and it will apply in all sites and non-native applications.
    Perhaps you should consider checking PWA https://web.dev/progressive-web-apps/, which converts a web to a somewhat of a native application.
