Animated gif doesn’t play

Sorry, we’re not able to see that link. Do all of those GIFs work if you embed them into WordPress directly?

Yes-they all work when I put them in an image block. I uploaded another version and that is working. That file is larger though. Do you know if there are any gif optimization settings that would cause issues? Thanks!

Hi @brynashburn. I don’t know of anything specific with the optimization.

It’s worth testing this carefully because some browsers don’t handle GIFs in slideshows very well. They will start playing later GIFs immediately.

Does this image that’s not working show if it is the first image in the slideshow?

Which browsers? I haven’t found any info on the plugin support or website regarding animated gifs.

I removed the image that was not working. The replacement works either as the first image or in the middle of the slide show.

Hi @brynashburn. Honestly, I’ll need to test this out more because GIFs are not often used in slideshows. I don’t think many people have researched this topic carefully.
