Animated Gif is static/not working when uploaded

  • Hi,

    I am trying to upload an animated gif, however when it’s uploaded, it appears static. How do I get around this ?

    How do I add a gif to wordpress so that it is animated and not still ?

    Are you saying that when you use the image uploader in “write – post” or “write – page” AND send the image to the editor, that it’s still showing as static AFTER you’ve saved/published the post?

    If so, I would try deleting the old file and re-uploading… there may have been some corruption during the upload. Otherwise, I think that it won’t show as “animated” until you post it live to the site, and then only on the live site will it be “animated”.
