animated gif previews

    Sometimes in the Insert Media interface, the thumbnails of animated gifs are actually animated, while others are static, though both show on the finished post as animated.

    I just wonder if anyone can tell me why that is?

    Image dimensions I think. If the image is small enough, it shows for me. When it has to be resized and thumbnail created, it’s not animated.

    Oh sure, that makes total sense. I’ll have to keep an eye on that next time I upload and see what happens and which ones are affected.
