animated GIF shows as a dot

    Found out that the dot is the first frame of the animated GIF, so I thought I will have to make the slide show longer.
    I now enabled slide effects, set the transitioon effects to none and set the next slide delay to 5000 miliseconds, but the only effect is that the dot wil just show longer (the other frames do not show up), before moving on to the next slide…
