@phidippides – At best, at least currently, the only “animated” files you are able to upload are animated GIF files.

    Thanks!

Thanks. Does it allow them by default, or do I need an extension to upload animated GIFs?

@phidippides – GIF files are a standard image format and should upload in the same manner as a JPG or PNG file, no third-party extension required.

Hi, I was able to upload an animated gif into the Nextgen gallery for use with the Mojdeh ecard plugin. When I preview the picture, the gif file animates as expected. However, it doesn’t animate when sent as an ecard. Is this a problem on your end or on the Mojdeh end?

@phidippides – Integration with another plugin would be outside the scope of support we currently offer. I would suspect the other plugin but I cannot say for certain. If the animated GIF if displaying correctly in the NextGEN Gallery displays then it should be fine to “move” via another plugin’s functionality.
