Animation of Digit change not right

when a digit changes, the animation is not right.
for example: if the digit is 6, it changes to 8, then the 8 floats down while a 7 floats into place. this occurs with every digit that changes.

i am using a shortcode, however, i also used the widget to test and this animation anomaly still occurs.
