[ANN] Dashboard Options (plugin for 1.5)

    Disable any of the 3 RSS feeds from the Dashboard in WordPress 1.5 as well as set a custom message to be displayed on the Dashboard.

    Requires WordPress 1.5 and either making a few small edits to wp-admin/index.php or replacing wp-admin/index.php with the included index.php file.

    What do you edit in index.php. That webpage is for version 1.1 not 1.5.

    scotto15, the instructions are for editing wp-admin/index.php in version 1.5. The plugin wouldn’t work in 1.1 as far as I know.

    Dashboard Options version 1.3 is out and adds a few new features, including the ability to display a custom message in the Dashboard, use the custom message as PHP and include your own RSS feeds.

    Minor bug-fix for 1.3, please see the plugin page for details and the update.

    I think Cameroon’s server is down. Does anyone else have a copy of this plugin available for download?

    This plugin author’s site is unavailable, but I found a great alternative: X-Dashboard!

    (Just in case anyone else is also looking for this.)
